While the bamboo handle is compostable, the bristles are not and must be removed when you're ready for a new brush. Comes in a set of 4 with each brush wrapped in a compostable cello wrap made from wood and cotton pulp.

Great toothbrushes, but individually wrapped in plastic
Hi Megan, Glad you like the toothbrushes, and just want to clarify—the toothbrushes are individually wrapped in compostable bags, not plastic :) They can't put them naked in the box due to health codes.
